Sabendo-se que;
C/5 = (F – 32)/9
queremos saber qual o valor x , em que °C = °F, logo, x = °C = °F, substituindo temos;
x/5 = (x – 32)/9
9x = 5x + 160
4x = 160
x = 40
logo, quando o termômetro da escala Celcius marcar 40°C , o termômetro da escala Fahrenheit marcará 40°F.
